// NEW YORK CITY // WILLIAMSBURG, WEST VILLAGE //
come for the sandwiches, stay for the slushie. or vice versa
I usually hate when Brooklyn establishments open up in Manhattan, particularly in the West Village. But in this case, I’m not mad that Edith’s opened up on the island because it means the Brooklyn location can stay a bit more Brooklyn. Even so, on any given morning, there will be people hovering in front of the pint sized storefront on Lorimer. Since opening in 2021 (previously it was a pandemic pop up in Paulie Gee’s), it has become a beloved neighborhood anchor for a daytime bite.
Even if you don’t know her by name, you’ve probably seen the goods on social media at some point in the past few years. Their cold brew tahini slushie is basically social media clickbait (not to mention they keep doing crazy good collabs for seasonal special slushies). The hand-twisted bagels serve as the perfect chewy foundation for their loaded sandwiches (you know it’s good when they have the audacity to add a latke into their BEC). And whether it is malawach or classic deli sandwiches, Edith’s truly does not miss.
