no panic coffee

because good coffee is right around the corner

Cafe culture in Vienna is unlike anywhere else in the world. Historic, white-tablecloth coffee houses that evoke 20th century glamour and serve decadent cakes that charm tourists. In the backdrop of all that, No Panic Coffee is starkly normal, a familiar scene that could fit in just about any contemporary city, with its minimalist industrial space and long communal tables occupied by as many laptops as cups. It seems even in a city with cafe culture as rich as Vienna, there is a place for a third wave coffee shop to thrive.

Coffee is undoubtedly the headliner here, with a selection of light roasted beans that they’ll hand brew to order and all the usual espresso-based options. That said, we are in Vienna after all, and their desserts are a modern opulence. Luxurious pistachio gelato as the base of an affogato. A heaping scoop of tiramisu served a coup. Tarts and cakes piled with fresh fruit and cream. So in a way, it’s an evolution of the coffee tradition, marrying the modern sensibilities of a coffee shop for coworking or for takeaway with things that compel you to sit down and close that laptop and appreciate the ritual as it deserves.
