// NEW YORK CITY // TRIBECA //
the closest thing you can get to a hudson valley farmstand in manhattan
Rigor Hill Market is exactly what you would imagine of a farm-to-table all day cafe in Tribeca. It looks like the kind of place Lily Van Der Woodsen would pick up catering, if she ever ventured downtown. At surface level it looks like a typical farmers market slash cafe trying to bring some pastoral charm to cityfolk, but look a little closer there are higher end signs. Beyond the clean lines, warm wood accents, the chalkboard menu and fresh cut flowers, is chef-level quality. The refrigerator is filled with organic produce and fresh eggs from their farm upstate as well as pre-made salads, cold pressed juices and house-made condiments to stock your fridge.
Rigor Hill Market is the sibling of the beloved neighborhood restaurant One White Street next door, and one that was quickly embraced by the community. It brings together the modern sensibilities of a cafe and takeaway counter with the culinary pedigree of a classic restaurant. It’s the kind of place that feels like it could be a daily stop, or at least, it could be for someone. On a winter day, the intimate space has some counter seating for a pastry and decadent hot chocolate. On a sunny warm day, the outdoor seating spills onto the sidewalk, the perfect place for a casual lunch meeting over excellent sandwiches. And of course, your neighborhood spot to pick up a casually fancy $48 rotisserie chicken dinner.
