To describe Aida as a more curated Urban Outfitters is admittedly a bit reductive but probably the fastest way to communicate the vibe of this Shoreditch shop. The bi-level space exudes a palatable level of urban alternative cool in the form of clothes and homeware and books, and a coffee bar to top it off. For over a decade, Aida has been a sort of anchor for this strip of High Street, a representation of East London’s creative scene wrapped up in a space that feels like a time capsule of the 2010s.

The cafe and retail concept feels natural here. The layout is big enough to browse the curated racks of mens and womens clothes comfortably and escape from street level bustle downstairs. Below, it’s a home shop and bookshop with plenty of independent design-forward publications and homeware pieces that you are certain you’ve seen on your Instagram of Pinterest feed before. Altogether, it makes for a fluid third space that is easy to pop into whenever you’re in the neighborhood.
