In the middle of the neon lit commercial alleys of Myeongdong, Hotel 28 offers contemporary comfort with easy access to shopping and dining. Inside the hotel, which shares a building with several restaurants, is surprisingly quiet, an effective escape from the bustle outside. The first property in Korea to be a part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection, Hotel 28 is a design hotel with exceptional service. The cinema theme is woven throughout without being too kitschy. Rooms are contemporary and industrial, smartly laid out with everything you need for a city stay, and all the basic amenities that are standard to Asian hotels.
The hotel restaurant Congdu does breakfast service for hotel guests as well as lunch and dinner service, with a contemporary take on traditional Korean cuisine. Breakfast is a delightful experience, several steps up from a hotel buffet breakfast. The two course meal starts with a starter inspired by Korean temple food, and then a western or Korean main course. While they have coffee and tea available, the better option is to hop over to the donguibogam bar to make a customized herbal, medicinal drink. And the fruit is a highlight, self serve and seasonal for a fresh start to the day.
