Schmaltz Bar & Delicatessen

a cozy little deli with some swedish charm

In a city renowned for its minimalist design and exquisite Nordic cuisine, Schmaltz Bar & Delicatessen is like a warm, comforting hug with a touch of nostalgia. Tucked away on Nybrogatan, with a name that gives it away, Schmaltz is a nod to the classic New York Jewish delis with a Swedish-European edge.

A bit more elevated in ambience but still true to the casual comforts of a deli. Pickled gerkins, smoked fish, salted brisket, comforting schmaltzy chicken soup are featured in the tightly curated menu. The cozy bistro-like space makes it perfect for clinking glasses and lively conversation with wine and snacks from a leisurely lunch that turns into mid-afternoon drinks to a casual dinner with friends. Schmaltz offers the perfect blend of classic and cozy, with just enough culinary flair in execution to make it feel like a special meal. Perfectly satisfying any time of day and any time of year.
