March, as always, is the promise of better times, of a spring that won’t yet come. An anticipation for warmer days. March, as always, is a bit of a tease. The trees start to bloom. The city starts to come alive. It’s still cold, but after being worn down from months of winter, we’re ready to come out, if cautiously, to play.
I always mean to venture out of my main two boroughs more often, but the Bronx seems to be an annual field trip at this point. Once again to see the Orchid Show at NYBG, though this year was a bit underwhelming after last year (let’s just say we have some follow up questions for this AI-fashion theme). Nevertheless, a sunny early spring day out in the gardens is a welcome introduction to spring.
When in the Bronx, Italian American food is a must. Except there was a long line at Casa Della Mozzarella. So we went for pizza and ended up at Tony & Tina’s Pizzeria…for…burek. Not a single regret.
Made it up with treats at Gino’s Pastry Shop & Cafe though.

A walk through the impeccably curated collection of Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz. Art speaks volumes. There’s something so intimate about seeing someone’s collection, like walking through their home. You can’t fake taste, and the authenticity comes through in every piece.
Didn’t get out of the house much this month. Or rather, not so much to eat.
