// NEW YORK CITY // TRIBECA //
a minimalist coffee haven in the middle of tribeca
Lower Manhattan is full of coffee shops. But most of them are cramped, and let’s be real, the rest of them are chains. Interlude is special. It occupies a modestly sized retail space on a fairly quiet block of Tribeca. But the minimalist contemporary design makes it feel open and airy, a serene setting for a quality cup of coffee or tea.
Interlude is the sibling operated venture. The brother does the coffee and the sister does the pastries. Both are done beautifully. Their coffee and tea are high quality. They carry a curated selection of coffee beans for retail that change seasonally and offer a wide variety of espresso drinks in store. The tea is sourced from all over Asia, the matcha is ceremonial grade Uji matcha, the chai concentrate is made in house. And their pastry case feels uniquely personal, filled with original creations that you wouldn’t find at any other cafe, all baked in house fresh daily. An all around solid coffee shop that has quickly become a neighborhood favorite.
