organic roasts with local roots at the beach
Unlike a lot of trendy coffee shops in town, Groundwork has been around for a while. The first location opened over 20 years ago on Venice Beach, and since then, they’ve expanded all the way into the Valley and into Whole Foods.
Â
Groundwork cafes serve up its own line of organic, fair trade coffees and teas, as well as a decently sized brunch menu in the mornings to supplement house made pastries. Pair that with free wifi and communal tables and you have a fan favorite coworking space. As for the scene, it’s actually quite reflective of the neighborhood, which is fun to observe. The Hollywood cafe dwellers are very different from Larchmont just a short distance away, which are in turn a stark contrast to Venice. But hey, so long as the coffee is consistent, everyone is happy.
