bokeria kitchen & wine

a well established bustling restaurant in the heart of split

There are a lot of touristy restaurants that are highly mediocre within Diocletian’s palace. Thankfully, there are some that, while touristy, offer a much better than mediocre dining experience. Bokeria has been a go-to spot for a longtime for good reason.

The location is central and easily fits into any day in the palace. The food is modern Croatian cuisine done in a playful way, paired with local wines for a leisurely meal. Once an iron mill, the bi-level restaurant opens up to the street on the airy ground level, while the upper level is more intimate and cozy, with a dramatic chandelier connecting the two. All in all, a solid all day restaurant in the heart of Split.
